Staff Duty and Charge of Quarters (CQ) duties are critical roles within the Army, ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of military installations around the clock. Staff Duty personnel serve as the central point of contact for the command, overseeing administrative tasks, monitoring communications, and coordinating responses to emergencies. They provide essential support to commanders, staff, and soldiers during non-duty hours, maintaining situational awareness and readiness at all times.

Similarly, Charge of Quarters (CQ) personnel uphold security and order within their assigned barracks or quarters. They enforce regulations, monitor access, and address any disturbances or issues that may arise during their shift. Additionally, CQ personnel serve as a liaison between soldiers and unit leadership, providing assistance, guidance, and resources as needed.

Both roles require meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Staff Duty and Charge of Quarters personnel play a crucial role in upholding the standards and values of the Army, ensuring the welfare of personnel, and maintaining operational readiness at all times.
